Customer Introduction
The case we share with you this time is the comprehensive dust control of the automatic sand spraying machine in the constant temperature and humidity workshop of a foundry (casting process: lost wax casting).
The customer is mainly engaged in the production, research and development and sales of key parts of turbochargers. The main production links include sand casting, precision casting, heat-resistant stainless steel and high-temperature alloy parts machining, welding and assembly. It is one of the important suppliers of major vehicle manufacturers in the world.
Project Background
The project is set up in the newly built automated shell making workshop. The product production process requires a constant temperature and humidity environment in the workshop. The amount of dust generated during the shell making process is very large, which will affect the normal operation of the constant temperature and humidity air-conditioning unit in the workshop and will cause harm to the personnel working in the workshop, so it is necessary to design a dust removal system to control the dust. The project mainly has the following requirements:
1. Ensure that the dust in the workshop is clean and does not affect the normal operation of the constant temperature and humidity air-conditioning unit and the workshop environment;
2. After the dust collector extracts the exhaust gas in the workshop, it must ensure that the workshop’s cold and heat are not lost, and ensure the energy-saving effect of the constant temperature and humidity workshop.
Solution
With years of accumulated experience and technical accumulation in various industries, the Renhe team tailored a comprehensive waste gas treatment plan for the company after full communication with the customer during the design stage of the project:
The sand-sprinkling tube dust removal system uses the fan to suck the dust-containing air into the pipeline through the sand-sprinkling tube suction hood, and then enters the filter chamber of the filter cartridge dust collector. After filtering through the filter cartridge, the clean air enters the secondary high-efficiency filter, and finally enters the clean room and fan to complete the filtration; the filtered clean air returns to the shell making workshop through the air outlet duct; the air volume returning to the workshop can be adjusted through the air valve according to the on-site needs.
Governance Effectiveness
After comprehensive treatment of the on-site dust, it was tested that the dust collection rate generated by the sand-sprinkling machine in the automatic shell making workshop was ≥98%. After the filter cartridge dust collector + secondary high-efficiency filtration, the dust removal system emission concentration was <1mg/m³, and the clean air after emission returned directly to the workshop, ensuring that the workshop's cold and heat are not lost, and ensuring the energy-saving effect of the constant temperature and humidity workshop.
